Cry no more
Weiling and I have come to a resolution. It's probably the best, and more in line with what I hope to achieve.
We'll concentrate on being friends now, just doing what normal friends would do. Though, we wouldn't rule out a future that might give us a second chance. I'm not sure whether she really does feel this way, I still do at this point, and I hope that there's such a future for us.
Much as I worry that she may get together with someone else, or that I may, and that our paths will eventually diverge, I just have to trust in God that He has something in store for us, and what others will call fate. I don't know, I'm really hoping that God brings us back together, though it's really something I cannot force.
In the meantime, I'll concentrate on becoming more mature, and becoming a better man. For all the failures in the past, I want to learn from them and not make them again. Maybe being with other girls will be useful for me to learn as well, so that if and when I get this second chance with her, I will be the kind of guy she desires.
Nicole gave me some insights as well. Trying to force the issue is just not going to work and will drive us further and further apart. I'm glad that Weiling has been understanding and desires for us to remain as friends. I couldn't ask for more now, especially after how much I've hurt her.
Right now, I don't know what to hold on to. Hope is seemingly intangible, for something so far away and something I can hardly work towards. The 2 concepts are also at odds, stepping away, being friends and just let life take me where it goes, or continue keeping the faith that one day we will end up together.
I can't say I'm not confused. At least now, I just feel less helpless, and the tears will no longer come (I hope).
