Manchester Derby

The Manchester Derby was just over. Man Utd vs. Man City at Old Trafford. Van Nistelrooy scored a nice poacher's goal just before halftime and Man Utd should have wrapped things up with the several opportunities that they had. But an attack by Man City on 75th minute brought about an equaliser. It all began with a long ball to City's right flank and Heinze was no where to be seen. Backtracking desperately, he was unable to cut out the cross. Some subsequent touches resulted with the ball in the back of the net. And again in extra time, a long ball to City's right flank and Heinze was again no where around. A good pass to Andy Cole and a powerful shot from him almost turned the tide on Man Utd but fortunately for Edwin van der Sar's save, parity was still achieved on full time.

What disappointment.
